This whole SM/YG and Sone/Blackjack feud going on within the K-Pop community is getting ridiculous. While, it's been going on for a while, it has gotten worse with the comebacks being so close in date. I think this is ridiculous. It's taking all the attention away from the actual music and focusing it on fan-wars and bullshit company statements. Bashing another group isn't going to make your favorite any better. There are people stereotyping fan clubs.

Blackjacks involved are saying things like, "2ne1 are real artists. We don't want any SNSD fans here." and "SONES are always bashing 2ne1. They suck." and "SNSD are too mainstream. People don't have taste in music."  News flash! The blackjacks involved aren't completely innocent in this. First off, no one is claiming SNSD are artists. They are considered "performers". I realize they have dabbled into lyric writing and others things but for the most part, they are not artists. If they sing and dance to songs they didn't write the lyrics to or choreograph, then technically they are. But bashing them because of it is ridiculous. And SNSD is mainstream music? Sit down. 2ne1 is a MAINSTREAM K-Pop group KNOWN WORLD WIDE. People delude themselves when really, 2ne1 is just as manufactured as SNSD. Second of all, you don't have to be a sone to not like the song. Everyone has a taste in music, it may just be different than yours.

And there are also sones saying things like. "2ne1 are ugly." and "Our goddesses are #1 and they are 2neFlop." and "Their music is shit." Don't think the sones involved are all mighty either. First, 2ne1 being "ugly" has absolutely NOTHING to do with how their music sounds to someone. Second, 2neFlop? They are one of the TOP girl groups. Right there with your "goddesses". So please take several seats. Third, as stated above, everyone has their own taste in music. While writing "this is shit" is rude as hell, it's an opinion. And it only has an affect on people if they let it. Instead of out right bashing, why not comment on WHY you don't like the song or something you think they should improve on. That or you can simply listen to it, not like it, and click out of the video. Bam! Problem solved. Fan-wars prevented.

While I personally am biased towards SNSD (I blame the Sunny Bunny), that doesn't deter me from liking any of 2ne1's songs or bashing the girls. I find faults within both groups. There are songs I hate from them both (The Boys, I Got A Boy/Do You Love Me, Ugly). And there are songs that I love from them (Genie, Boys & Girls/ I Am The Best, Fire). That being said, I didn't much care for "Crush" while I loved "Mr. Mr.". Not because of the groups themselves, it's just my personal taste in music. I will check out the "Crush" music video when it drops and the rest of them album, though. There might be some hidden gems.

This "war" going on is pointless. Especially since the groups themselves don't seem to hate each other. I wish them both the best! I hope they keep themselves healthy and have lots of fun onstage! Fighting! ^^
